PLOT - the main order of events in a story, EXPOSITION - the start of the story in which the setting (time and place), main characters and conflict are introduced, RISING ACTION - the conflict builds, often escalated by an inciting incident that builds suspense and introduces secondary builds suspense and introduces secondary conflicts, CLIMAX - the conflict reaches its highest point of tension or drama, and decisive action is taken to deal with it (often taken by the protagonist), FALLING ACTION - lesser conflicts are resolved, and we learn what happens to other characters, RESOLUTION/DENOUEMENT - the outcome and end of the story.,
