Progression Step 1: Learners answer oral questions to identify success criteria for their animation., Learners comment verbally on one of the success criteria identified in the planning for their animation., Progression Step 2: Use a discussion, a simple storyboard or use illustrations to plan their animation., Offer simple ideas to improve the quality of their animation., Progression Step 3: Learners plan their animation using a storyboard that contains notes about what happens in each frame., The learner’s planning begins to demonstrate an understanding of the genre and aim of the production and how they will achieve this e.g. choosing music and sound effects to create an atmosphere in the animation etc., Learners show their digital work to others and gather feedback. Use the feedback to identify improvements., Progression Step 4: Learners create a detailed plan that shows a solid understanding of the genre and aim of the production and identifies how this will be achieved e.g. the choice of music, sound effects, colours and suitable backgrounds to create a specific effect etc., Learners search for a wide range of high-quality sources considering copyright and intellectual property., Independently, they can share the animation production in an appropriate way to get feedback and suggestions of improvements from a wider audience. Then they make improvements to the production.,
