Used to be made of wood, Oboe - Is a double reed instrument as it has 2 thin reeds which makes the sound, Clarinet - A single reed instrument, which makes a mellow sound, Saxophone - Made of metal, but has a single reed which makes it woodwind. Often used in jazz music- not normally in an orchestra, Bassoon - The lowest woodwind instrument, which is also a double reed instrument, Recorder - Doesn't have a reed but has air blown through it.
