1) Do you tend to bear a grudge when you feel you have been treated unfairly or badly – or are you quick to forgive and forget? 2) Have you ever unfriended someone on social media because they said something you disagreed with? If not, would you? Why? 3) If you don't know something, are you comfortable saying you don't know, or might it be considered a sign of weakness? 4) Would you say your country is worryingly polarised? More or less so than say 10 years ago?  5) Are most of your friends on the same political wavelength as you? And in your family? Does this cause problems?  6) There’s a saying that you should never go to bed on an argument. Do you agree? Or is better sometimes to ‘sleep on it’ and to let things cool off a bit?  7) Do you feel slightly uneasy or awkward communicating with someone in a higher position? 8) How do you know if your communication has been successful? 9) Have we lost the ability to communicate? If so, are we fighting a losing battle to change things? 10) Might we communicate differently and more successfully in the future compared to today? Or is that a bit of a pipe dream? 11) How could schools foment greater communication skills and a willingness to listen to others' views with respect, tolerance and empathy? 12) Who can you turn to if you wish to raise a grievance at work or college? Is there a proper procedure in place? 13) Are we all guilty of more passive hearing rather than deep listening these days? If so, why?
