It would be impractical for 32 million people to have their say each time. , Some people may not feel they know enough about a topic to make a decision on it, Informing and educating the voters about every choice they make is very expensive, Constant decision making might put some people off politics, Getting everyone's opinion takes time, this can slow down decision making, Not every decision can be split in to a yes / no referendum,
