I had my first guitar lesson when I was 39 years old. I had been ____ to find either the time or the money before that although I had wasted many opportunities. My dad always played guitar and I ____ have just asked him to teach me, but for some reason I never did maybe believing myself ____ of playing it. Anyway, a new career ____ me to find some spare time and off I went to my first guitar lesson. I was incredibly nervous, especially when I couldn't seem to work out where to put my fingers on the fretboard. After about 30 minutes of patient teaching I ____ to do it and it was an incredible feeling ____ to play three chords in a sequence and it sounding vaguely like a tune! By the time I left, I thought to myself, "With a bit of dedication, I'm ____ of anything" and I was determined that I would ____ to play a recognisable tune by the end of the month.
