They do this by being outgoing and sensation seeking., Nervous system of Neurotic - nervous system that responds very quickly under stressful conditions. They tend to over-react quickly., Extrovert & criminal behaviour - Likely to engage in burglary or joy riding for example, Neurotic and criminal behaviour - Quick to flight or fight so will over react e.g. assault someone, Psychoticism and criminal behaviour - don't consider feelings of others so don't think of consequences of their crime, Growing up and socialisation - punished for antisocial beh - high PEN have biology that makes them harder to socialise. Don't associate punishment with anxiety, Strength of Eysenck - It combines biological (genetics and the nervous system), psychological (traits) and social (upbringing) factors into one theory so it is more holistic as it doesn’t assume just one factor is responsible., Weakness of Eysenck - It tends to assume that personality traits are fixed and stable but it is entirely possible that we do change our behaviour according to the situation we are in.,
