כָּל - all, עַל - upon, הָאָב - The Father, אֲנָשִׁים - Men, חַָיָּבִין - Obligated, וְנָשִׁים פְּטוּרוֹת - And Women are Exempt, מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה - Positive commandments, שֶׁהַזְּמַן גְּרָמָא - That are time Bound, מִצְוַת לֹא תַעֲשֶׂה - Negative Commandments, חוּץ - Except, מַאי - What's the explanation?, אִילֵימָא - Let us wrongly say, בְּרָא/הַבֵּן - The son, לְמֶעֱבַד - To do, אֵין לִי - I only know, וְהָתַּנְיָא - But surely we learnt in a Braisa, מִנַּיִן/מְנָלַן - From where in the Torah do we know?, כְּשֵׁהוּא אוֹמֵר - When it says, אִישׁ - a man, אִמּוֹ - his mother, וְאָבִיו - And his Father, תִּירָאוּ - They Must Fear, הָכִי קָאָמַר - No No No No No No No No No !
