They are chemical building blocks. - AMINO ACIDS, The starches and sugars found in foods. Body’s main fuel that gives you energy to move, think, and play - CARBOHYDRATES, A complex carbohydrate that the body cannot break down or use for energy. Helps keep your digestion moving so your body can stay healthy on the inside - FIBER, Nutrients that promote normal growth, give you energy, and keep your skin healthy. Give your body long-lasting energy and help protect your organs like a cushion - FATS, Fats that are usually solid at room temperature. Are the “sometimes” fats that your body can use for energy but can build up if you eat too much - SATURATED FATS, A kind of fat formed when hydrogen is added to vegetable oil during processing. Are man-made fats that last long in foods but are the least healthy and should be eaten only rarely - TRANS FATTY ACIDS OR TRANS FAT, Fats that usually remain liquid at room temperature. Are the healthy fats that help your heart and give your body energy - UNSATURATED FATS, A waxy, fat-like substance that the body uses to build cells and make other substances. Your body uses to stay healthy, but too much can clog your arteries - CHOLESTEROL, Compounds that help to regulate body processes.
