Life as a Viola Player, My name is Sofía, and I’m a musician. I play the viola, which is similar to the violin, but a little larger and with a deeper sound., Many people don’t know much about the viola, but I think it’s a beautiful instrument., Every morning, I practise for about two hours. I start with scales and arpeggios to warm up my fingers. Then I work on the pieces I need to play for my next concert., Sometimes I play alone, and sometimes I rehearse with other musicians in an orchestra or a string quartet., Playing the viola isn’t always easy. It takes a lot of patience and concentration. When I make a mistake, I stop and try again until I get it right., Music is about expression and emotion, so I always try to play with feeling., In the evening, I often listen to classical music or watch videos of great violists., I love learning new techniques and discovering new composers. The viola is my passion, and I can’t imagine my life without it..
