Big, rich sound with reverb. Wah and chorus used on guitars but mostly a thin, high sound. Keyboards, orchestral instruments, hand claps. Remixes started here!  , Soul - Close-mic'd instruments and drums: high quality recording with emphasis on vocals. Plate reverb and echo chamber used but not many other FX. Light compression. Polarised panning. , EDM - Often created in a DAW. Lots of sampling. Pumping effect from sidechaining compression. Timed delay used to create rhythmic FX. , Reggae - Compression and gates used to create a punchy drum sound. Guitars and keyboards EQ'd to sound thin; bass sound heavier and very prominent with big bass frequencies. Lots of reverb (may use spring reverb on vox). ,
